I feel bad that he's using s-video.. def need to swap that out for DVI if he wants anything looking decent.. but that may be a limitation with the TV :/ - Bicep, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1Thanks for commenting. My 51 inch TV is a "legacy" TV, so it doesn't have all the funky new connectors to make it easy to connect with the computer. The connectors available are: RCA(regular video connection, color coded yellow), composite(actually I could connect with this to the NVIDIA card, not sure if it would be better quality or not), S-Video(Resolution is currently 1024x768 on the TV and the 25' S-Video cable cost about $10 from WalMart online), and Coaxial antenna connectors(not going to be connecting with that crap for sure).
As for the hdmi, if the one you're talking about looks like this: http://www.amazon.com/Dvi-HDmi-Cable-6FT-M-m/dp/B0 ... , there's no port for that on my legacy TV. Although the NVIDIA 9400GT does have an Analog and DVI port so perhaps there's some type of conversion cable out there to hook up my TV that way. To me it just seemed easier to go with the S-Video cable for 10 bucks.
Do you have a better suggestion besides buying a fancy/jiggy new TV? - IamNomad, on 01/08/2009, -0/+1cause hes too poor to afford a dvi to hdmi cable ?
