- seanmc303, on 07/11/2008, -0/+19Kind of. Give it time.

- romulasry, on 07/11/2008, -1/+15Slowly, of course.
- str1fe, on 07/11/2008, -1/+13"The Wine development release 1.1.1 is now available."
-- First sentence of the description. - andyd273, on 07/12/2008, -0/+12Or use Open Office and save as a word document?
I mean, if you want to really fight The Man... - ZaZ2137, on 07/12/2008, -1/+12Mr Gates is that you? Aren't you retired?
- ObeseSnake, on 07/12/2008, -4/+14Wine is not an emulator.
- Mejogid, on 07/12/2008, -0/+10Ultimately, API translation uses fewer resources, can lead to almost native performance, can lead to far better integration between non-native applications and the native-OS, doesn't (legally) require a Windows liscence, allows the use of a native window manager and is simply a far better long-term choice. While for some the better compatability of a VM is a winner right now, I think an improved Wine is what could convince more users to make the switch in the future.
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -0/+8Sir, you're putting the Amiga community in a bad light.
- agaudet, on 07/12/2008, -0/+9Just submit it as an open document and tell him its an international standard and include a pdf version so he can read it :p
- fatmonkey26, on 07/12/2008, -10/+19Wine -- 59 bugs fixed
Windows Vista -- 5900 bugs added - Smegzor, on 07/12/2008, -2/+10you left off a zero
- FKnight, on 07/12/2008, -2/+10The Man couldn't care less.
- secleinteer, on 07/12/2008, -0/+8Wow, you don't use LaTeX?

seems so. - SniperZero, on 07/12/2008, -0/+7LOL I wish
- melat0nin, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5I'm gonna go right ahead and block you now.
- BlueSkyfish, on 07/11/2008, -0/+6The last test from winehq was on version 1.1.0. You'll have to wait a few days for someone to test it on the new version. (I would do it, but my graphics card is *****)
- quidpro, on 07/12/2008, -0/+6You so crazy!!
- charlietuna, on 07/12/2008, -1/+7Microsoft Office 2007 is Silver, so it's getting there. Not as if I want to use it, but my thesis must be submitted in word, and... well I'd be fighting The Man on this one.
- str1fe, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5It can ALWAYS blend. I was thinking along the lines of "But can the blender RUN crysis?"
- charlietuna, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5Nope, they want it in word, and they get very picky about minor formatting inconsistencies. Exporting from OpenOffice is possible, but later I'll need to re-import corrected docs from the department back into Openoffice again. Ech
- str1fe, on 07/11/2008, -2/+7"Can it run Crysis?" is the new "But will it blend?"
- marine63, on 07/12/2008, -1/+6GASP :O starcraft got a platinum rating?
- cak3, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5Hurry up then, what are you waiting for? :D
- dualboy24, on 07/12/2008, -0/+5W - Wine

E - emulator - inactive, on 07/12/2008, -0/+4Flash CS3 works at all?
Damn, I thought it was only Flash 8. I have trouble keeping up with this thing. - inactive, on 07/12/2008, -0/+4While ATi is improving, they still have to step it up if they expect it to matter.
Nonetheless, i do like that they're doing something. ATi is adding ***** and NVidia... is, well, taking it away.. (Where is DGA acceleration anymore?) - DestroyFascism, on 07/12/2008, -2/+6http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu
enjoy :) - ambiescent, on 07/12/2008, -0/+4Of course. It's ran very smoothly on WINE for a very long time now.
- bipolarruledout, on 07/12/2008, -1/+4Wow... if other projects could work this fast their might have had linux on every desktop by now. Impressive.
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -3/+6Does Battle.Net work on Starcraft yet?
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3For now that is the truth. In the future we would probably be better off running it in something like wine as it uses less memory... till then (unless its a game) VM is the way to go.
- CataKlysmiC, on 07/11/2008, -5/+8Applications like photoshop and the office pack (new versions) are imho better off being executed from a virtual machine - using xen perhaps :) no doubt in my mind that these apps are going to work just fine in a near future, as it seems like the development is getting speedier...
Gotta love that collaboration. - inactive, on 07/12/2008, -2/+55900*10^90. There are more bugs then there are atoms in the known universe.
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -0/+3Why wouldn't one want to use the development release?
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -1/+4ATi has been getting FAR better as of late for their driver support.
- Darkhacker, on 07/14/2008, -0/+2http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu:Hardy#Wine
- bj1989, on 07/12/2008, -1/+3It looks like people give everything platinum ratings these thays, even if it's not really platinum. Platinum has lost some of it's value to me. (In general, don't know if the starcraft platinum rating is genuine)
- kfilip, on 07/14/2008, -0/+2As a matter of fact, the platinum Starcraft rating is genuine. Playing it was my first contact with recent Wine version and I was amazed how well it behaved.
- ZaZ2137, on 07/12/2008, -0/+2o shi.....
- SniperZero, on 07/12/2008, -4/+6who cares crysis is *****.
- Mejogid, on 07/12/2008, -1/+2Because it's unsupported, not guarenteed to work reliably with the essential set of applications which a stable version, requires you to update more often for your version to remain relevant (ie. for people to give you any support besides 'upgrade to the latest version') and would probably have a fair few performance regressions being introduced over time before they start preparing again for a stable release. Equally, if there's an app you really need support for that works better, or only, in a development version then your choice is probably made for you.
- horsepie, on 07/12/2008, -1/+2Forcing OOXML instead of just using ODF says that they do.
- knight666, on 07/11/2008, -6/+7They didn't fix the not-starting-up-anymore problem with Adobe Flash CS3. :(
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1Flash worked much better in Wine than Virtualbox, excluding some problems i had with my tablet. I haven't tried it in a while but i trust it's the same or better.
- marine63, on 07/12/2008, -0/+1when i tried to open starcraft battle.net without messing around with any configurations on wine the menu came up black and it crashed... so its not out of the box ..
