- klitzbtc, on 09/14/2008, -0/+5What I'm really looking for in Fedora 10: it's NOT the nightmare that Fedora 9 was after the first week of upgrading.
It's alright to be cutting edge, but being so cutting edge that a whole lot of drivers won't work, is not productive or good for anyone.
The solar artwork is really nice too: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Artwork/F10Themes/So ... - EagleRock, on 09/14/2008, -0/+2The new desktop environments seems interesting. While I don't think the XO Laptop GUI (Sugar) will make or break this distro, it seems interesting to play around with.
As far as LXDE, it looks like a really great lightweight GUI that I'd even use above KDE. 'Cause let's face it...XFCE, while a great and functional lightweight GUI, just looks like balls. - ptFoe, on 09/14/2008, -1/+1I love Red hat for giving the finger to MS. But it's a shame they have little interest in non-Enterprise Desktop Linux.
Fedora does nice work luckily the fruits of their hard work is seen by many users via Ubuntu.
