  • DonJuanAussi, on 11/22/2008, -0/+0Every FOSS program or Linux feature (excepting a few pieces of eye candy) are complete rippoffs from other operating systems. Yet Linux programmers and fans gather the pitchforks and torches every time anyone tries suggesting something "new" that is not already one of the Linux "elite".

    Linux is the "me too" platform. This is a real pity, because Microsoft and Apple deserve some competent competition. Please come back and tell us all that Linux is the platform of "innovation" after you do some innovating*.

    * Innovating is to invent something no one has ever seen before. To try something completely new. To go your own route. Not to follow. Not to copy. Not to listen to the crowd, because the crowd only repeat what they have already seen/used/touched... innovators are often weird loners who don't fit in... not even with geeks.
