Swoosh! I think that went right over your heads. - otaking, on 10/10/2007, -6/+170lol tax is going to pwn your 1337ness
- machambi, on 10/10/2007, -9/+1411337 - Hacker "Sp33k" for leet, or elite. Originating from 31337 "eleet", the UDP port used by Dead Cow Cult, a hacker group, to access Windows 95 using Back Orifice, a notorious hacking program.
- CompIsMyRx, on 10/10/2007, -3/+127Let me guess. You spent about 30 minutes trying to get $1337 with a bunch of different configurations.
- MasterThief117, on 10/10/2007, -5/+97Must be hacker friendly.
- Petarded, on 10/10/2007, -4/+82Burry.
I'm an idiot that can't read. - Navicerts, on 10/10/2007, -6/+77There is a 50$ difference (On Vista). Thats not the point of the screen cap though, it's just a play on numbers 1337 = LEET = Elite, it's really very silly.
- Philluminati, on 10/10/2007, -8/+70on the next screen I think it says:
Optional Support Services:
+++[ ] Telephone and Email assistance
+++[ ] 1337 hax0rz - kablaaamo, on 10/10/2007, -0/+53This is sort of offtopic, but whenever I see "1337" it reminds me of the only good time I ever saw it used. On some college Jeopardy show some kid wrote it as his wager for final Jeopardy, and when he won (he could've won another $5000 or so, easy) Alex Trebek gave him a weird look and asked in an Trebek-joke way "uh, wtf"? The kid kinda blushed and said that it was a nerd thing, and I gloried in the moment where computer geeking and trivia geeking met publicly at last.
It's alright, you can digg me down, I just wanted to share that. - JimmyRyan, on 10/10/2007, -7/+59Isn't it funny how some people can say things like 1337 and pull it off nicely.. Then there are those that run it down and ruin it!?!
Example:
Pulling it off...
"Must be hacker friendly."
NOT pulling it off...
"That is so awesome. 1337!!!!!"
It's not a pair of titties.. Calm down sir. - scabbers, on 10/10/2007, -0/+45I can assure you that 31337 was around long before Back Orifice used it as a port.
- th3wiz4rd, on 10/10/2007, -5/+42It's so sad that you had to explain that to digg users...
- arbulus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+33Lebt
- Giga, on 10/10/2007, -4/+32I refuse to bury anyone game enough to admit that they are an illiterate idiot on digg. You get the thumbs up, I'm afraid.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -1/+29Ahhh Back Orifice and netbus, those were the days. Good times, I swear so many people in those days at the netbus server and the bo server it wasn't even funny. You could scan an ip range and pick up alot of them , connect and then retrieve passwords and key logs.
Subseven rocked though, you could steal the ICQ list and appear to be "that person" muh hahaha - eean, on 10/10/2007, -1/+27Intel has open source drivers, this makes it l33t.
- villainousT, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26I hope someone didn't actually spend their time configuring a system till it came up with that price tag.
- ozzie252, on 10/10/2007, -2/+26surely you mean h4x0r ;o)

- GMorgan, on 10/10/2007, -2/+25The driver is open source. Can't be more leet unless it was coded in a combination of Lisp and ASM using Vi.
- dview, on 10/10/2007, -10/+29My Ubuntu clock is displaying 13:37 in the taskbar every day, how is this news?!
Please..buried for not being 1337 at all. Coincidences != News - L4WL3RS34L, on 10/10/2007, -1/+19Did he just say 1337 is 'silly'??
- honds, on 10/10/2007, -2/+20I think you missed the point. 1337 is kinda a special number for us nerds.
- meez, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19I refuse to bury anyone who spells it "Burry".

- hoowahman, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Which apparently means "Low Energy Beam Transport" as an Acronym. That is l33t.

- zeromancer, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8lol. didn't sub7 install a backdoor on the user's computer? i heard that the creators wanted to take advantage of all the noobs that would use sub7.

- Pritchard, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7The only thing that could have made the price better was if the "as little as $41 a month" had a 42 in it instead . . . Then I would not be sad.
