Some people use Windows, some Mac, and some use Linux. Why does it matter that much what other people want to use? It's a personal choice, rather like choosing which toilet roll to wipe your ass with. Personally I'll use any paper as long as it gets the job done, but some people like Charmin Ultra and others like the recycled stuff. Windows will let any exe setup shop and start accessing processes and system info.

There are just too few people using those OSs to give an incentive for those who make Viruses, that's why there are none for them. Certainly not because they are particularly safe.
