I'd like to believe it's a joke but I know that even if it is there's somebody, somewhere who thinks the same thing and ISN'T joking. In fact there are probably hundreds. I had a customer, last week, who wanted me to get his power management set up right on his computer so he could control his thermostat and the lights in different rooms of the house with the computer from work. He saw it on Beyond Tomorrow and they were using a Windows XP machine like his. It hadn't occured to him that he would need special wiring and electronics installed through the house. He thought Windows would do it right out of the box.
