- Eugenia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Please do not digg this story anymore, some idiotic Digg users BURIED the story, even if the story is 100% legitimate and linked from many other sites since last night. It seems that the well known osnews-haters did so.
- Fergy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1WPA wasn't supported in Edgy, with Feisty it is. Openoffice isn't developed by Canonical. Why would you want Openoffice to be a clone of Office2003? Take a look at Office2007, Openoffice should look to the future and try to innovate the interface too instead of just copying Office2003 or 2007.
- schwit, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I'm a Linux newbie, but very knowledgeable with Windows. I've been using kubuntu edgy exclusively for about a month and it's been anything but easy on a Thinkpad T30 laptop. My IP2200 wireless card connects to open APs, but won't work with WPA(XP works fine), there's an overall lack of polish and too much work is required at the command line. I'm really hoping Fiesty helps with some of this.
Improving OpenOffice should be next. It doesn't hold a candle to MS Office 2003. I would also love to see Fiesty have an import tool so it could use the Windows and MS Office settings. Making the OpenOffice keyboard and toolbars identical to MS Office as an option would be a big help. - eric06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have been running Feisty Fawn for a while now (since i saw it as alpha) and i like it compared to edgy eft, i like the WPA compatibility, though i am having trouble getting NDISwrapper to setup my built in wireless (anybody have any tips for that). All in all i like Feisty Fawn.
- sirhomer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I am running Ubuntu Fiesty right now and I can say it is quite polished (and it's in ALPHA!).
Ubuntu Fiesty definitely not going to be a flop :) - mikesum32, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Eugenia is a woman. Although, I've never seen her in person, so she could be some sort of robot.
- schestowitz, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2He seems like an experienced user. Bear in mind that Ubuntu Linux is easier to pick up if you don't already depend on many applications. Casual users find Ubuntu far easier. Consider this for example:

| Interestingly, this shows that the notion that Linux is only for
| highly technical computer geeks is a myth. The opposite is more
| likely to be true.
