- DontEatTheFish, on 05/11/2008, -1/+1and you are being dugg down because you are underestimating the power of Ubuntu.

- KevinJim, on 05/11/2008, -1/+10First of all. The best text editor I've ever use ( to write code ) is Kate ! Then, Amarok for music of curse. And also if you EVER shutdown your computer, gShutdown is a mast.

Agreed on Amarok Vlc is handy but Amarok is the best player out there bar none. - mossblaser, on 05/11/2008, -0/+2I absolutely agree about Kate: it is the pinacle of text editing - the best balance between functionality and ease of use. Also, because it is a kpart it can be found in many random applications (including Quanta +, the god of web authoring).

- jggube, on 05/11/2008, -1/+1JDarkroom looks awesome -- it's good for writers and editors to lessen distraction.
- dualscreenman, on 05/11/2008, -0/+4Once Phonon gets released with its VLC backend, Phonon-enabled apps will share VLC's "plays just about anything" capabilities. This will make Amarok and Dragon Player the ultimate Linux media players, and one step closer to world domination! Muwahahahaha!
*ahem*

http://code.google.com/p/phonon-vlc-mplayer/- knight666, on 05/11/2008, -1/+2I love Amarok, but it crashes when I try to play streams, and sometimes restarting it doesn't work either. :(
And seeing as I don't actually have any "normal", mainstream music which comes in these "cd's" I've been hearing so much about, it makes Amarok kind of useless.

- weizbox, on 05/11/2008, -2/+2Yet another 'Top 10' Ubuntu app article... hoorays
/sigh - FizzanoMatrix, on 05/11/2008, -0/+1Most kerneled apps that are bootable straight from registry would be a lot better to use than some of these..
- mathchemist, on 05/11/2008, -0/+3This list of apps is tremendously lame. Buried.
