The real value of Linux

itwire.com — There will never be a "Year of the Linux desktop", but I don't think that is actually all that important. Here's why. I am firmly of the opinion that Linux won't take over the world and Microsoft will not be deposed at the top of the desktop operating system food chain. At least, not in the near future. And that's not a bad thing.

    That has to one of the stupidest statements I've ever read. Certainly regarding the purpose and value of Linux.
