- JKAL, on 11/03/2008, -0/+2These "Perfect Sever tutorials" are nothing more than attention grabbing articles, they only instruct the reader how to install packages and that's about it. Nothing on how to make it the an actual perfect server,a good start would be add things like hardening the basic Linux distro, or any of the installed of-the-shelf packages. Also the perfect document would be an evolving document, not a complete new document for the next version of a distro when it comes out.
HowToForge.com is infested with these type of articles. - lewkus, on 11/03/2008, -1/+1that's stupid.
i'm only new to ubuntu but i have enough understanding to realise that this isn't a walk in the park as the article suggests.
want a perfect server? pay a hosting company a few bucks and get some decent hosting.
