Tesco reveals unannounced Dell 12in netbook [Ubuntu Linux]

reghardware.co.uk — Tesco appears to have leaked details of Dell's next mini laptop. But while some sites a jumping for joy at the inadvertent bean spillage, we're not sure the suggested spec makes sense for a netbook.

  • cday, on 09/12/2008, -0/+4Could be an interesting little machine. Let's hope Dell does it right this time. I might actually buy one if there isn't a "Dell recommends Windows Vista" banner plastered right next to the Ubuntu product.

    If this really does go on sale in Oct, I can't help but wonder how many ex-Microsoft employees will be quitting MS and joining Dell by Christmas...then by New Years Dell will follow Lenovo in dropping pre-installed Linux.

    Oh Yuck, I HATE being such a cynic! Time for a weekend hike in the mountains, need to get my happy disposition back. I LOVE fall weather! :)
