- sven423, on 10/04/2008, -0/+8What bugs? We have many satisfied users running Amarok on other Desktops than KDE.
If Amarok is of course the only running App for you that uses Kdelibs and Qt that might lead to longer startup times, of course. - ljubomir, on 10/04/2008, -0/+6Well, I can only recommend you to wait and check the Amarok 2 when it's released (soon ;))
It'll use Qt4 which is more modular and optimized, should change the order of buttons in dialog windows to match Gnome style, and use gtk visual style when running inside gnome. Or at least i think it will. (might check it out later)
Anyway, thanks for the support! - ChristmasCpp, on 10/05/2008, -0/+5amarok is the best audio experience i've ever had, great application, complete and full-featured. amarok 2 should be awesome
- sven423, on 10/04/2008, -0/+4What don't you like about the current development?
- KhaaL, on 10/04/2008, -1/+5Even though I'm not liking where amarok development is going, I will support these guys for making the greatest audio player ever.
- dawnraid101, on 10/05/2008, -0/+4iAudios are awesome lol, I had the iAudio 4 back in the day.
- ponkarthik, on 10/07/2008, -0/+2The best audio player for linux. Keeps me using KDE !
- ronocdh, on 10/31/2008, -0/+1Props to Amarok. If this thing ever does make it to Windows, it will be one of the biggest causes of conversion ever. What a brilliantly designed app!
- cheeseplease, on 10/04/2008, -0/+1Yeah it's the only app using the KDE libraries on my system. I occasionally run into bugs, like physically deleting a song results in an error concerning the trash folder, or 10+ second freezes when searching for a song, even though I use an SQL database for my song library which is supposed to be fast. And Amarok startup time takes 30 seconds, even though my PC isn't that slow at all.
Still, it's my favorite music app and the only one I use. - cheeseplease, on 10/04/2008, -2/+2I like Amarok a lot but it's for KDE. Running it in Gnome is slow and there's still unsolved bugs.
