- pbaehr, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Ah, yes, the elusive Albino Book Sparrow of Northwestern Canada. Good to see it's finally getting some attention.
- Spr0k3t, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13I'm still waiting for the "Death to OOXML" posters endorsed by Peter Griffin.
- chris9902, on 10/10/2007, -7/+14"Red Hat graphic designers are no strangers to the pains of proprietary formats. Over the years, many have lost photographs, archived projects, and important portfolio work when formats have been changed."
I would love to see an example of that. It's not like the software you used suddenly blew up and feel into a black hole never to be seen again. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I spread ugly just by leaving the house.
- mogydy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6"I would love to see an example of that. It's not like the software you used suddenly blew up and feel into a black hole never to be seen again." it is not that the software is not available anymore, the problem is how can you import your data into the new software (from another company maybe?)
- karthickdoss, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Long Live ODF !!
Logo is pretty neat. - counterplex, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I disagree with your assessment. While it could certainly use some explanation to what "ODF" means, the dove with the open book as wings is far from useless and ineffective. Maybe change ODF to "Open Documents" or something to make people look for the link between documents and the bird. As far as hiring the marketing people, there's always room for improvement but this is a decent start.
- Utopian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3The text on the poster is really the only thing that explains what this is all about. I don't think having it slanted at 45 degrees is a great idea - it makes it very difficult to read.
- supermajic, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Outstanding observation good sir! Now were you trying to raise a particular point with that statement?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6i'm pretty sure most have no idea what the title is talking about. after RTFA it sounds like a good cause.
- Shriker, on 10/10/2007, -4/+5Sorry, I don't spread ugly. Not even if it's for a good cause.
- dsn0wman, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1It looks like a logo for a Christian book store.
- questro, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2The poster and promotion of ODF are a great idea. I also like the image, but I wonder if it is the “Official” logo of either OASIS or the OpenDocument Format Alliance.
The poster has no link to any website so that someone can get more information about ODF. For example: http://www.odfalliance.org or http://www.oasis-open.org
I also see that the poster has ODF with a trademark symbol, but a search of http://www.uspto.gov does not list ODF as a registered trademark. - Emperial, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Very cool....
- skinfitz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1With the money Red Hat must have you would think they could afford a proper designer.
- JeffS, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2ODF is a good idea if you can read the media it is on. I think the bigger problem in the future is going to be finding the hardware to read the data.
- Philluminati, on 10/10/2007, -4/+4The logo is pretty simple and easy. An open book / bird.
- mannaran, on 10/10/2007, -6/+4Survival of the fittest..!!
- nerdism, on 10/10/2007, -8/+3No digg, ubuntu NOT in title..
- schestowitz, on 10/10/2007, -11/+5Folks, ignore that "Game Over?" article from LinuxWorld. Something fishy is going on and we're investigating i this. ODF is very much live and well.
- supermajic, on 10/10/2007, -7/+1Wow, looks like a logo for some ***** charity - not even the good type that does decent work, but the crap kind that try to convert people into some crazy sect of christianity - Crip crippity crap.
- naio, on 10/10/2007, -9/+1ODF RIP.

What is Digg?
