Next time you set up a Linux machine for someone, set up the partitions properly. - lapubell, on 12/04/2008, -0/+1when your little brother comes up to you and asks you to put ubuntu on his machine how would you do it? i figured that since he told me that ubuntu would be the primary OS used, it wouldn't matter that windows couldn't read the ubuntu partition. Ubuntu read the NTFS just fine.
Without the vista disks I could only resize his vista partition, and go from there. He deleted all partitions that Vista didn't recognize (the recovery partition being one of them, along with the swap), so setting up a /boot partition would have done jack. Same if i pulled /home out of the install too.
