Shakeup in the Linux magazine space

desktoplinux.com — Tux magazine, billed as "The first and only magazine for the new Linux user," has published its last issue, according to a New Year's Day announcement by publisher Phil Hughes. The magazine had achieved a circulation of over 100,000 readers. In other news, Linux Journal has been acquired by former Linux Journal staffer Carlie Fairchild.

  • bpepple, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not really surprising consider how tough the magazine market is. Also, I think being so KDE-centric didn't help, since most of the most popular distros for newbies seems to be GNOME-based.
