- puelocesar, on 03/23/2008, -0/+11No, Epiphany is absolutely not a Safari-like... they just adapted they already existent browser to another rendering engine
dumb title - Remmy, on 03/24/2008, -0/+3Safari is derived from Webkit which is derived from KHTML. We, in this case, did indeed start the fire.
- z0mbie2099, on 03/24/2008, -1/+3Safari is garbage. Please stop comparing great open source applications to proprietary garbage. It's insulting to the developers and the users.
- simpleboy, on 03/24/2008, -0/+2That's Cool! But why do we need it?
- kingofpenguins, on 03/24/2008, -0/+2Well, I use Konqueror, and have no problems with it. KHTML's rendering is just as fast as WebKit (if not even a little faster), Konq includes a built in AdBlock, and if sites don't work properly (which happens very little) then I can change the UA string to Safari, and 99% it works fine.
Not to mention the great KDE support (who would have guessed?). And KIO slaves. They rock.
Konqueror is more than just a web browser, it is KDE's "swiss army knife". - UKsHaDoW, on 03/24/2008, -1/+1"KDE's "swiss army knife"", which is why i don't like it.
- puelocesar, on 03/24/2008, -3/+1Safari isn't garbage. It's a great software, with a good interface. You can of course say it's not good to use because it's not free software, and I'm ok with that, because it's a good point, but you just can't just bash good software without any argument
It's that attitude of your that scares people away from free software.
