- Pichold, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4All this talk about ubuntu lately is making me want to try it.
- MBHoy, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Go to http://www.ubuntu.com and search "gutsy" you can then click the various tribes (alpha releases of Gutsy) and see which features are added/being added. This is all you need.
Official information. No opinion. Good server. No downtime. There's no need for this site. - Theli, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3From the site:
"This Account Has Exceeded Its CPU Quota"
I don't think I've ever seen a website go down due to "CPU quota". - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Well you won't loose anything by trying it out, they will even ship it to you house free http://shipit.ubuntu.com/
- morphie, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5I bet it was down before it was submitted

gksudo nvidia-settings
Thats what I did, and I didn't have to ***** with the xorg.conf! - adt41287, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2do it! well worth it... havent touch microsoft in 8 months and never thought about turning back
- Rupan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Oh come on, I always bitch at people in games and forums for being homophobic or using homosexual terms as insults; but that was funny.
- TimRogers, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3Been popular for 8 minutes, and it's already down for the count.
- timjbart, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4Site down, yet all the ubuntu fanboys are still digging it! :-)
- heavyal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Site seems to work fine now. It must be the initial burst of traffic that kills some of this stuff. To comment on topic though, +1 digg for another great Ubuntu release. Whether you're a fan or not, it is great to see so much interest garnered for what used to be a niche OS. At this rate it is looking more and more that software/hardware companies can't ignore Linux for much longer and that means that in the relatively close future we will actually see more mainstream stuff for Linux being sold - personally I'm hoping that maybe, just maybe the game companies will start to see Linux as a viable platform and then we can start getting some high quality games for it. There are some pretty good games out there already, but it's not enough yet.

- Judersi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0Just grabbed the latest Gutsy 2 nights ago, and I'm loving all the new features. So far it's been very stable since the install. However, gparted kept crashing on me during the live cd environment. Hopefully that will get fixed before the final. Ubuntu FTW!
- Xyc0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0I foresee many buried comments coming from you. HOW DO YOU THINK CHANGES HAPPEN BEFORE A FINAL RELEASE? The community needs to be exposed to any bugs/issues before they can be corrected. Please, stop wasting my bandwidth with your ignorance.
- KillerSiafu, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0The tribe 5 release info on the ubuntu site is pretty good... but they're lacking some of the info the BlueHost article had, like built-in Compiz Fusion, as well as a majority of the screen shots. Of course bluehost got nailed by the digg effect so you can't see any of the screenshots... Still, google cache did catch the text of the article.
- 0Degrees, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3my god why... the comment system. Digg me down.
- kazamx, on 10/10/2007, -3/+3What is that, is it an unfolded cube.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -16/+14Forget this. I'm waiting for Ubuntu Horny *****.

*periscope down* - cmost, on 10/10/2007, -8/+3Come on guys!!! Why is it that every time a Canonical or Ubuntu dev takes a crap, it's all over the front page of Digg (and every other tech site for that matter?) Once again, this is a fairly early ALPHA release, not a late beta, or even a release candidate. Much will likely change before the final version of Gutsy is finished. Let's stop scrutinizing each and every single little build that comes along. When a release candidate or final beta comes along, then I can see a necessity for an in-depth look. We don't need to see a myriad of articles and reviews of Ubuntu developmental releases every time someone reworks a few lines of code!!!
