- climatewarrior, on 07/05/2008, -0/+4Free drivers should be the real and only long term solution for Linux wireless. But projects like these help out noobs so that they aren't scared away from Linux before they learn about the free and open source software part.
- BalooUrsidae, on 07/05/2008, -0/+1I'm not sure a remotely correct solution to this problem is to make ndiswrapper easier, since ndiswrapper is clearly the wrong way to go for wireless drivers. A much less wasteful way to fix this problem is to encourage people to do what they already do for Windows: Shop for hardware already supported by it. You don't see too many users going to their local Ninety-Nines user group or the Apple Store for hardware, after all...
