Open Linux phone gets its first hardware extension
crc.ca — The Communications Research Centre Canada (CRC) has showcased a new broadcasting handset prototype called openmokast at the IBC 2008 exhibition last week. The prototype, based on the openmoko FreeRunner, is the first open handset to integrate the reception of live digital radio, video and data services in addition of typical smart phone functions.
