- MisterCookie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3They fixed the crash bugs at least.

but its still slow as hell. I highly recommend using SMART as a package manager instead. - thaeger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2LightsOut:
Sounds like you might be behind the curve on updates since release. While our updater was a serious issue at release (and it frustrated many SUSE engineers), there have been a number of updates.
Also, a number of people swear by using Smart as an alternate option on openSUSE, as evidenced by MisterCookie.
--T - majinboy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Well new users would use it to get an idea of which derivative of Linux is more popular or what not...
- transfire, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I really wish a major distro would take up the package directory paradigm (eg GoboLinux and Stow). OpenSUSE's packaing situation could be greatly improved by this.
- ninjacob, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2This doesn't really mean anything. Not everyone uses DistroWatch. I've never even been to the site and I've been using Linux as my primary OS since 97.
- LightsOut06, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Untill they fix the package manager problems I refuse to use OpenSUSE. It was decent but PCLinuxOS is waay better and waaay stabler. I broke OpenSUSE pretty easily. It's really sleek and professional looking though. Once they fix the package manager problems it will be on point.
