- jdhore1, on 04/13/2008, -2/+12Well...It's the same price as the 8GB iPhone with similar functionality...Plus you're not required to buy a contract so it's cheaper than 90% of Smartphones you can get from carriers.
- z0mbie2099, on 04/13/2008, -0/+5Way cheaper than competitors, considering the fact no contract with a carrier.
- trakie, on 04/13/2008, -0/+3really cant wait for this thing to be released to the public, looks very promising so far
- inactive, on 04/13/2008, -0/+1buh bye iPhone garbage...
- smacksaw, on 04/13/2008, -0/+1In the US that's a hard price to swallow considering how phones are subsidised to nothing if you sign a contract. As it stands now I can get a similar phone for less money and get a discounted upgrade every 12-18 months as technology improves.
They need to find a major carrier who would take them on...and considering all of the proprietary ***** that gets bundled with a phone these days...well, they'd have to lock it down and own it. - borneo66, on 04/13/2008, -1/+1You can quite easily get an iPhone without a contract for $399. Sorry, but no.
- NinjaPig, on 04/13/2008, -1/+1I am trying to see a positive side of this, but from what i've seen on their wiki, the latest sim cards from some carriers are not even working. Multi-touch? "Maybe later" ---3g/HDSPA? "No"--- and this is 399?
- groverblue, on 04/13/2008, -7/+5as little? I'd never pay half that much for a phone.
