- ePlus, on 10/18/2007, -2/+24I am refreshing http://releases.ubuntu.com/7.10/ every 5 minutes! I can't wait!
- Miniman, on 10/18/2007, -1/+20No, Watch me Digg you down for being a retard.
- chrisrowe, on 10/18/2007, -0/+16Never before have I taken so much pleasure in digging down each and every one of l33tmasta's comments before blocking him and reporting him on the final one. What a ***** retard.
- JacNet, on 10/18/2007, -0/+14You do that.
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -2/+15Or you could use the official torrent which is located here... http://releases.ubuntu.com/7.10/
- schestowitz, on 10/18/2007, -1/+13Don't hammer on the mirrors before the announcement. Better set up torrents...
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -0/+12Then ignore them you *****. Or is your brain to small to handle that task?
- Vorin, on 10/23/2007, -1/+13you did it wrong.
- jakbrud, on 10/23/2007, -4/+16Ubuntu + Leopard = a happy geek :)
- mobilefreak, on 10/18/2007, -1/+11I'm dying to get my hands on this one !!!
- Vorin, on 10/18/2007, -2/+12newly faithful to ubuntu and sticking to it.
i can't wait for the new update! - akkibaba, on 10/18/2007, -0/+10It takes one click to turn it off.
- t4k3n, on 10/18/2007, -0/+9I logged in to digg you down and to state "if you don't like it then don't read the article or comment" ...We don't care, we want to read it, thats why it made Front page.
- DroidBlender, on 09/18/2008, -0/+9you do that, we promise to sit on edges of our seats just for you! WE PROMISE!
- arcticblue, on 10/18/2007, -1/+10Gutsy Gibbon is just the codename for it while it is in development. The official name is Ubuntu 7.10. It's no different than MS having "Longhorn" as their codename for Vista. I really like the next Ubuntu codename though... "Hardy Heron" (Hairy Hardon)

please help seed! - JacNet, on 10/18/2007, -0/+8Oh shutup already.
- robvdl, on 10/18/2007, -1/+9I'm running the RC since yesterday, so only need to run updates for it to become full. I am running the AMD64 version, and I was absolutely amazed how easy it was to get the 32-bit flash plugin going, which had been a bit of a nightmare in the past. All you need to do is use the apt-enabled firefox plugin finder, tick "flash", next, restart firefox... and it works... it installs nspluginwrapper and all!!! absolutely amazing :)
Still can't get the Java plugin working under 64 bit, but I hear that will be covered under Java 1.7 Dolphin in the future. - 4DFX, on 10/18/2007, -0/+8I need to find a way to get your comments off DIGG... Oh wait...
- Whaines, on 10/18/2007, -0/+8I don't think you know the meaning of the dollar sign.
- akkibaba, on 10/18/2007, -1/+8Here we go again. If you hate Linux so much, why do you bother to click on Linux stories and comment multiple times? You can just turn Linux articles off in your preferences . Why, then, do you insist on acting like a retard?
- mrjit, on 10/18/2007, -1/+7***** morons and people wonder why evolution came to be
- hartley, on 10/18/2007, -3/+9Just an FYI for everyone. You don't really need the full release disc, just download the currect RC build and run the updates when the full version is released. Get it now, because that first day, the servers will be about as fast as a wordpress blog after a digg effect.
- TheLD, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6Yay, it's ready for download now: http://releases.ubuntu.com/7.10/
- Rowan187, on 10/18/2007, -2/+8been using the RC since sunday or something, I'm pretty impressed. I still think Ubuntu has a long way to go until i give it out to my noob friends.
- Vorin, on 10/18/2007, -0/+6"The Linux market is growing rapidly, and the revenue of servers, desktops, and packaged software running Linux is expected to exceed $35.7 billion by 2008."
I try to shy away from wiki, but there it is.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux - mvent2, on 10/18/2007, -0/+5That would be true if WINE wasn't already implementing DX10 API's, and starting a project to port them to XP thus rendering that trash Vista absolutely worthless.
LMAO Vista, what a ***** OS. - Whaines, on 10/18/2007, -1/+6I don't use Linux and I dugg you down for being such an ass-face.
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -2/+7Then don't turn it on.
- Vorin, on 10/18/2007, -0/+5...maybe because it's not up yet?
read a tad bit please. - saguratus, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4Exposing your extreme bias and utter disregard for something much larger than you while spouting wholly unfounded claims based entirely on ignorance is hardly "owning up linux". It does however make for good material to make a collaboration of quotes demonstrating and documenting how a lack of intellectual capability coincides with your everyday troll.
- mvent2, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4L4meMasta: If you feel the need to bash an OS to get any attention, you're the emo around here. Why don't you save us all some unneeded grief and cut your wrists. I'll even do it for you if you want!
- sanman, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4Gutsy Gibbon?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dq7nvWJK3uo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AZn5nWIj_g - TheLD, on 10/18/2007, -1/+5Shut the ***** up already. You have been on this story for over an hour, how lame are you
- trogdoor, on 10/18/2007, -1/+5Most of what you just wrote is wrong, I'm to lazy to detail it so just trust me.
- mygans, on 10/18/2007, -1/+5AAARRRGGHHH
- inactive, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4The RC is already gone, they took the mirrors down.
- geoffp, on 10/23/2007, -0/+4Hmm. Apple doesn't seem to have too much trouble repeatedly selling all sorts of people on an OS named (officially!) after a cat.
- twelvedogs, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4go ahead, posting that story about windows vista + 1 in ten years will really show us what for!
- edzilla, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4You actually are a moron, then?
- oobuntu, on 10/18/2007, -0/+4Or kubuntu for KDE fans
http://releases.ubuntu.com/kubuntu/7.10/ - kazamx, on 10/18/2007, -1/+5ITS OUT PEOPLE
here is a direct link to the torrent file. this is the torrent for those with 32 bit PCs. If you have a PPC or want 64 bit you need another link
http://releases.ubuntu.com/7.10/ubuntu-7.10-deskto ... - kazamx, on 10/18/2007, -1/+4Wow! I know people sometimes have problems installing, but to have every problem available on one install is something pretty special. My guess would be that you messed up the burning of the install CD. I just can't see how Ubuntu would have that many problems on one install.
- TheLD, on 10/18/2007, -0/+3Never before have I ever seen such an annoying fanboy/troll
- theaceoffire, on 10/22/2007, -0/+3IMHO, Longhorn was way cooler than Vista. No one at work believed the name change for a full week, we thought it was an elaborate hoax.
Its like renaming the Revolution to the Wii. - Breepee, on 10/18/2007, -0/+3No, we just wish /you/ dead.
- jmcin, on 10/23/2007, -0/+3because a torrent places less strain/cost on their servers
- theaceoffire, on 10/22/2007, -1/+4I just can't imagine using prepicked hardware. That is the reason I stuck with windows for so long (Before all the linux flavors became easier to use).
- trogdoor, on 10/18/2007, -0/+3I thought it was just a random joke unforgivable curse, didn't realize that it had racist connotations. Doesn't change the fact that you are a troll.
