- tvanwyk, on 08/15/2008, -0/+5I prefer that my desktop not try to clone the big players, thank you very much. Let the Macs look like Macs. Let Vista look like Vista.
The great thing is that in several Linux GUI environments there are ways to make your desktop look like a clone of everything from Win98 to Mac OS X, or to make your GUI look like something else entirely. - daftman, on 08/15/2008, -0/+4Linux can be what it's user want it to be.
It's about choice. - inactive, on 08/15/2008, -1/+3Oh *****, what will I ever be able to do without apps such as Squirrel, Buddi, FrostWire, Bean, Tofu, Scribus, Expression, Remedy, Pencil, Dejal Blog Assist, Cyperduck, and Hydrogen?!! Most important apps on that list *are* available for Linux. The others have free alternatives that are usually just as good. I'm sorry that the only way you Mactards know how to get off is by insulting things not made by Apple (maybe you're insecure that nobody outside your Apple fanboy circlejerk gives a ***** about your Apple crap?).
Oh, and iTunes is a piece of stupid ***** anyway. I knew that before I ever touched Linux. - wontstoptalking, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2That was a baaaaaaaad idea. I think you are going to get buried like no one has ever gotten buried before. And I'm sitting here watching it.
- wontstoptalking, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2I hate desktop look-alikes. Seriously, if you like the look and feel of an OS, go buy it! Some people will say they like the functionality of Linux and the look of Mac OSX, but really.
Look-alikes also never have the same functionality and seamless feeling that the original desktop has. - talonh, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2You've posted that list at least 20 times that I've seen and not only that you weren't even bright enough to remove apps that do run on Linux. Firefox, Drupal?!? I'd go on, but you get the idea and I don't want to admit that Notes runs on Linux as well. What the hell were you thinking. Take just a little effort next time... o
- tvanwyk, on 08/15/2008, -1/+2I joke, I joke! I keed, I keed!
- ha3er0, on 06/16/2009, -6/+2Did I ever mention that lifehacker sucks balls. 90% of the time they get dugg up because it's "lifehacker.com".
5 lines of text, reinstating something we already know or copy from somewhere else. User generated desktop screen shots from flickr group... Linking back to another 3 line of content back to their own website. Pages and pages of articles with snippets of news from other websites...
