OMG Game/Linux Fans, Valve to port Source engine to Linux!!!

- stix213, on 05/08/2008, -0/+2This is something to pay attention to Linux users. If Sierra is successful here then other game companies will follow. If Sierra goes through the trouble of porting games to Linux but no one uses them, then we will have another thousand years of gameless Linux darkness.
When Sierra finally releases some games on Linux, we should put in an extra effort to get them, and maybe even not pirate them. :)- knight666, on 05/08/2008, -0/+6***** yeah SimCopter! m/ >_< m/
- Peterix, on 05/09/2008, -0/+1I just got my old Half-Life mod I never finished from a badly scratched CD. After these years I still remember most of the code I wrote for it. Sure, I could make it better now, but I might have a hard time getting it to work with newer compilers (compiling Windows code on Linux and running it with Wine ain't pretty).
The game was mostly hack&slash against skeletons and zombies in dungeons mixed with a healthy dose of magic.
Having the old Half-Life SDK and the engine ported to Linux could save that thing.
