    Kroah-Hartman completely ignores the the huge contribution Canonical has made with Ubuntu, something that Novell, Red Hat and countless others failed to do for nearly twenty years — Ubuntu made the Linux desktop cool.

    Word. The fact that both Novell & Red Hat have come out and said they are not serious about non-Enterprise Desktop Linux, they should not cry about the no. of kernel fixes because Ubuntu is bringing the users, which is now making it more lucrative for hardware vendors to develop Linux friendly drivers.
