  • muszek, on 10/11/2007, -0/+4The greatest "feature" of mc in that it simplifies things for those who aren't fruent with command line tools. Not only it can copy/move/create/edit files/directories, but also uncompress archives, connect to ftp servers, edit file permissions. Without it, it's much, much harder for a newbie to admin a remorte server. I really think it should be installed by default or at least put on a CD.

    There's a downside, too - you're less likely to learn those CLI tools' syntax.

    And for crying out loud - it's a tool for Linux, not for Ubuntu. it's been arounch much, much longer. That's the only reason you're not getting a digg from me, mate.
