- ptFoe, on 06/25/2008, -0/+4The ***** xfce applet still can't support surround sound
- n0odles, on 06/26/2008, -1/+2That's exactly why I switched. It was the same as Gnome, whats the point? If there were significant differences then I'd definitely switch over to Xfce completely.
- n0odles, on 06/26/2008, -1/+2Xfce is the same as Gnome, but Gnome is a better experience. Sorry. I use to use Xfce a lot. They should work on being more lightweight.
- tj111, on 06/26/2008, -0/+1Umm, I've been changing desktops using the scrollwheel since I've switched to Linux, ~1 year ago. And I've been using Gnome. That's a Compiz-Fusion feature, not Xfce (could be part of the Xfce core, but Compiz adds it otherwise).
- craftyguy, on 06/26/2008, -2/+1Ha! Don't complain about XFCE not being 'lightweight-enough' and switch to Gnome! That's like saying "My corvette isn't fast enough, I'll drive a bus!"
The only similiarity between Gnome and XFCE is that they are both built on GTK. However, Gnome comes with a ton of (in my opinon) bloat.
