- frontporsche, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1An easy way to mount a removable device is with "pmount":
$ pmount /dev/sda1 Fran
to mount as /media/Fran. If the sda1 filesystem happens to be labeled, the, you can do:
$ pmount {/dev/disk/by-label/,}Fran
and you don't have to lookup which drive to use. (I wish you could just do "pmount Fran", but pmount isn't that smart yet.)
