- brisbin33, on 08/20/2008, -0/+1i fell in love with changing desktops on my mac (i get sick of pictures quickly). on linux the best way i found was a cron job (google it). there are a ton of complicated background changing scripts that cron can run on a set interval but mine was just one line:
feh --bg-scale -r /path/to/wallpapers
picked a random image from the path and made it the background. easy as that.
the transition was too harsh for me though (no smooth fading like on my mac); so i dropped the project. - digitaldivinci, on 08/20/2008, -1/+2Really..is it that big of a deal? I used the same wallpaper for a solid year. Maybe it's different when you make your own, but I don't get tired of them very fast.
