- linuxisbest, on 11/04/2008, -0/+4Yes, that's what I blogged about last month http://nudepenguin.net/ and I gave it a great review. I love Mandriva 2009 but the install is a bit more than my grandma would like. Ubuntu still gets the crown for the easiest to install (wubi rox), I think all distros should have a an app like wubi. Any one can put a cd in windows and click install.
- Linegod, on 11/04/2008, -0/+2For me, the 'something' is everything :) From the install, to the KDE setup, to Mandriva Control Centre to server setups to tab & bash completion defaults, etc etc, it just makes more sense to me.
- mohtasham, on 11/04/2008, -0/+2Man, Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex rocks. I haven't found anything bad in it, yet. The only thing that can make me switch from ubuntu, is an OS that has gentoo's performance and Ubuntu's ease of use. If Mandrive is like that, why not give it a try?
- Vadi0, on 11/03/2008, -1/+2Possibly. But unless it does something extraordinarily wonderful and better than Ubuntu, I most likely won't switch - I use my computer for work and entertainment, not for reinstalling OS's every few months.
Prolly just me though.
