- BlackAdderIII, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Without spamming, there are plenty of people out there who will sell you machines preinstalled with all sorts of alternative operating systems. Some of them are even people of shining genius :D
On a bad note about the article "Core 2 Duo options" on the product blurb suggests you probably won't get an amazing cpu for the lowest price - we're all aware of that.
What it doesn't tell you is that that base $599 desktop package comes with an abysmal processor - ***CELERON ALERT - DO NOT BUY***, and that the price quickly shoots up to a silly price once you start altering the spec to make it decently usable.

- schestowitz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2A machine that runs Ubuntu is not Linux-hostile. As the cost of Linux is nil, you could wipe the hard-drive and install whatever you desire, be it Microvell Linux or GNewSense.
