- kd420, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1I was moving this weekend and brought my laptop (running Ubuntu) with me. My mom (typical mother with no Linux usage) asked if she could use it. Instead of going with my gut and showing her where the games, internet browser etc were, I just handed it over. She didn't ask a single question the whole time, leading me to the conclusion that the only reason someone wouldn't be able to use Linux is due to driver problems, which is neither the fault of the Linux community nor a big problem if you look for help in the right places. I personally use Linux because I can customize it as I like, but because of that trip, my dad has begun asking me about Linux and wants me to install a distro on his PC. *sniff* They're making me so proud.
