- kd420, on 01/08/2009, -3/+70Luckily, this is the only kind of Linux bloat.
- pedepy, on 01/08/2009, -4/+64hey this graph is the exact opposite to Steve Job's t-shirt size graph !! .. statistic.
- klitzbtc, on 01/08/2009, -2/+54They must keep changing the year on this picture, cause I swear I've seen it around for the past three years.
- benologist, on 01/09/2009, -2/+45Well you're half right... there's some huge *****.
- DBeta, on 01/08/2009, -2/+38That fat people go through shirts way faster than skinny people?
- kimbomitt, on 01/09/2009, -0/+25I heard Linux was getting bloated, but I had no idea it was this bad...
Aren't I so funny? Oh wait, that was the title the last time this was on the front page of Digg:
http://digg.com/linux_unix/I_heard_Linux_was_getti ...
And, even then, the line was ripped off from an article by Megan McArdle:
http://meganmcardle.theatlantic.com/archives/2008/ ... - chadsmith729, on 01/08/2009, -3/+24I know that this graph has GOT to be telling me something. But what ...
- faster3200, on 01/09/2009, -1/+20I think you guys are drawing the wrong conclusion. What this means is that Linux is spreading in America!
- RBobby, on 01/09/2009, -0/+18It's because of World of Warcraft. I just know it.
- TheDHC, on 01/09/2009, -1/+15programming demands your attention 24/7.
- QueTzl, on 01/09/2009, -1/+15More chicks bought T-shirts to wear as a nightgown?
- FreshPineSent, on 01/09/2009, -0/+13But that would mean spending less time behind a pc.
- Vanostaajen, on 01/08/2009, -1/+14This is sad.
I'm not saying you should spend less time behind a pc, you just should get more exercise:D - turiya04, on 01/09/2009, -0/+13The big ones are eating the little ones...
- GrantRobertson, on 01/08/2009, -6/+19How many times are you gonna keep posting this stupid graph?
- winry, on 01/09/2009, -6/+18could easily be big girls with huge ***** u_u
- snareguy17, on 01/09/2009, -3/+12It's funny because it means people who use Linux got fatter.
- dorsia87, on 04/28/2009, -18/+27fat *****
- PinkyTheWinky, on 01/09/2009, -0/+9Linux support has definitely grown.
- inactive, on 01/09/2009, -2/+10What the hell are you talking about? A cup of strong black coffee is delicious.
- BlackSheep720, on 01/09/2009, -0/+8thats because only hard core gangsters use linux.
- codyman, on 01/09/2009, -3/+11sudo stop/stuffing/your/fat/face
- Vegiemaster, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7It all makes sense now... I've been happily using Linux for years now, and even since I last saw this graph on Digg I've gone from 2XL to 3XL!
( ´~`) - inactive, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7So XL is the new medium?? LOL
- blackmesa, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7That's interesting! I tried Windows ME for a year and I went down four sizes and lost all my hair.
- RBobby, on 01/09/2009, -0/+7I guess the future in Wall-E is because everybody ended up switching to Linux.
- KibibyteBrain, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6In 1999 there were far fewer jobs for Linux geeks than in 2008, where they are now fat and happy.
- Battlecry, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6I hate the fact that if I get a T-Shirt, it's XXL simply because it's hard to fine XLT shirts.
- grandhi, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6Now they are grown ups? don't kill me :P
- KarlH, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6Growth is good, right?
- MacEnvy, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6I think you're pulling too hard.
- nkatter, on 01/09/2009, -0/+6i hate you so much
- lowtolerance, on 01/09/2009, -1/+6huh...i guess the Hacker's Diet doesn't work after all
http://www.fourmilab.ch/hackdiet/ - jenrzzz1, on 01/09/2009, -3/+8A cup of GOOD strong black coffee is delicious, none of that Starbucks filth.
- krahzee, on 01/09/2009, -0/+5It's all of the sugar in the energy drinks. Try coffee. Same caffiene, and if you drink it black and unsweetened, it won't make you fat.
- aamer, on 01/09/2009, -2/+7My guess: The people who set up the symposium made the mistake of thinking Linux users were thin back in 1999. Since then, they've learned their lesson and stocked up on the larger sized shirts.
Linux nerds were always fat asses. It just took the symposium a while to realize it. - inactive, on 01/09/2009, -0/+5jenrzzz1 I'm not too much a pretentious douche to turn down any cup of black coffee, but I wouldn't buy starbucks, it's too expensive.
- MudMan69, on 01/09/2009, -0/+4Apparently so does eating.
- EarthernJar, on 01/09/2009, -0/+4Homer: I'm looking for something loose and billowy, something comfortable for my first day of work.
Salesman: Work, huh? Let me guess. Computer programmer, computer magazine columnist, something with computers?
Homer: Well, I use a computer.
Salesman: Yeah, what's the connection? Must be the non-stop sitting and snacking. - Kelpesh, on 01/09/2009, -0/+3Hey I'm just big boned!
- cheesehound, on 01/09/2009, -0/+3Man, I'm sick of always getting stuck with XL shirts at the smallest when free t-shirts are given out to engineering crowds, but it doesn't look like I'll be getting away from that any time soon.
- ieee, on 01/09/2009, -0/+3That IT people in general need to eat less, eat better and exercise more.
- coreyb, on 01/11/2009, -0/+2I'm a solid XL, but I am not fat, in fact, most of my friends are the same way, XL and athletic...
- themastersb, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2They are edible, just really hard to digest.
- bzaks, on 01/09/2009, -1/+3On the contrary, they didn't show the condom sales... so probably not...
- nicc, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2yeah, I've run into the same problem, except that often even an XXL doesnt have sleeves long enough for my arms. its sad that half my shirts are XXLT.
maybe its time we start calling people under 6' short instead of calling people over 6' tall? - ieee, on 01/09/2009, -1/+3Last year I lost 48 lbs with The Hacker's diet. My old tech t-shirts were billowy so I tried to replace them. I had a hard time finding medium sized t-shirts. It seemed like "large" was the "small" at many of these sites.
- chewbie, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2you're still fat. My european M is an S in the states. You guys should definitely move a little more
- justjoehere, on 01/09/2009, -1/+311
- ieee, on 01/09/2009, -0/+2Diet soda and tea work that way too.
With tea you can kill the bitter taste by buying good tea, using more water, or a dash of lemon juice. -
