Also, the article states 'Linux is given away.', but then a little later 'a foreign product like Linux which is often copied for free ...'. By this I assume that it is given away but some nasty 'un-american' people also pirate it, the rascals!
I agree that this is humour but I think it pushes it. Unfortunately, like FUD, there are lots of people, mainly Microsoft fanboys, who will believe this.
Reading further in the comments, the author supposedly states the following: 'Linux is a primative European clone; It is much less capable than Windows. In fact it omits features that were standard in Windows back in 1998; For example Linux has no built-in anti-virus or anti-spyware software.'
Well Tristan, if you read this comment then you are a complete ***** because anti-virus and anti-spyware software were not features and they were certainly not a standard part of Windows!
