- drader, on 07/29/2008, -0/+1The article points out that KDE (and other distro's) have similar apps; however, the interesting point (imo) is this:
"I’m really happy to see launchy make its way onto another operating system, and if other apps follow suit switching from Windows to Linux might not be as difficult for new users."
The developers of launchy did an excellent job in supporting multiple OSes (in regards to keeping L&F as well as functionality) and are setting a great example for other apps to follow. - AlesDigg, on 08/02/2008, -0/+1Also, launchy offers an excellent indexing service (if you need to search only through file-names)! Great app for linux!

KDE 4 has krunner which is probably better than any similar application and it's built in, Alt+F2 is the shortcut.
