- rowjimmy, on 10/25/2008, -0/+1i've never quite understood how a screenshot is meant to show much of anything distro-specific... as people stated above, a kde screenshot will show - kde! a gnome screenshot will show... hmm. to get a sense of what makes each distro different, one needs to look under the hood, or i guess at a bunch of screenshots of distro-specific utilities (although there aren't very many of those, and they tend to have very little to do with what makes that distro special). then again, maybe for some people the default theme a distro comes with == that distro in their minds. oh well. read http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/810rc if you actually care about what this new release is about. so far i think it's quite good, unless you have an older nvidia card that wont work with this latest xorg.
- compacho, on 10/24/2008, -1/+2Heh, I'm sorry but there's about it the seems ubuntu-ish. I hardly see any customized designs and such. On another note, I just tried the new Ubuntu RC, and I'm happy to learn that my wacom tablet finally works out of the box :D
