KDE 4.2 Will Bring a Much Improved System Tray

aseigo.blogspot.com — The new system tray is now the place where progress indicators (for example for copying files, burning CDs) from all the applications come together.to be displayed at one place. It also handles displaying notifications (like IM status changes). Support was added for more advanced kind of icons and it is all plugin-based and thus very future-proof.

    ugh. i stopped right there; hello, KDE? it's windows, you're black... and you have an annoying system tray.
