- iamnos, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1This is a pretty lame article since the author hasn't even used SageTv on Linux. Also, he tends to put down MythTv, but doesn't say why. MythTv supports the encoder and decoder on the 350. I've had MythTV running just fine on a PIII-600/256MB, yet the author doesn't seem to think that SageTV will. Admittedly, MythTV isn't always easy to setup, though there are live distros available. I'm not familiar with SageTV, but this article certainly wouldn't convince me to even look at it.

Btw...dont mod down iamnos just because he makes a good point... - mcctv, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0SageTV has been the best solution I've tried. Started using it on my Windows office PC and wanted to try it in the living room on a lower end leftover box. The Linux version has been solid as a living room media center. Has all the season recording, searching and browsing of the other leading products and the SageTV Placeshifter has been great for setting up recordings or watching TV away from home. We went on a trip to the east coast and it was nice to catch the local ballgames.
