- mrhammad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ie6 is working for me but after doing all the steps for ie7 i found out it is not working it crashes and do not load. Running edubuntu 6.06.
- shinee, on 10/25/2007, -0/+0I had some issues getting it working. I found the following worked for me:
- Download the IE7-WindowsXP-x86-enu.exe file manually to ~/.ies4linux/downloads
- Edit ies4linux-2.5beta6/lib/install.sh and comment out the download call (causes segmentation faults for me)
- Install with ./ies4linux --beta-install-ie7 --no-gui - gthrank, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sometimes one needs IE - eg. when joining a web conference on GoToMeeting. You run IE7 on Wine. But for everything else - no need.
- Benco, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is great for web designers who work under linux. It's a really quick and easy install. This way you can write all that IE specific CSS without have to run VM ware.
- andrewpmk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Why would I ever want to install IE on Linux? Firefox is better.
