- kd420, on 09/05/2008, -0/+1I'll probably wait for the official release just because it will probably run faster and have support for https etc. I'll just be testing it, so I want my first impression to be their best effort, with no sacrifice to performance. Good write-up though.
- The2DQuartet, on 09/06/2008, -0/+1I've been running the Windows version of Safari through Wine for some time now and I've seen no noticeable drop in performance against running it in XP. I'll be trying Chrome through Wine and if the official release turns out to run any faster then that's just a bonus.
But a very good set of instructions though; couldn't be any simpler to follow! - illuvatar200, on 09/05/2008, -0/+0@James645: as you can read on lifehacker, i was not the 1st one to put this on the web and they don't link to me and tell i'm the inventor. they just pointed out that my instructions are cleaner and offer more instructions:
"@All: Changed the bottom link, as the blogger's instructions offer more functionality (Flash, better font support) and cleaner instructions." - khamer, on 09/06/2008, -0/+0Just use one of the other browsers for linux that uses WebKit or KTML (what WebKit is forked from), such as Konqueror (KDE) or Epiphany (GNOME).

I believe you only used one discussion on Ubuntu forums (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=908493 ), why not give a reference? This way, other blogs (including Lifehacker) can link directly to the original source instead of mentioning you as inventor. - James645, on 09/04/2008, -0/+0It would have been a nice article, if myscienceisbetter.info would have mentioned the original source.
- jamesdew, on 09/04/2008, -1/+1I dugg but should this not work I shall return to bury
- illuvatar200, on 09/04/2008, -0/+0@James645: edited the article and mentioned i followed some ubuntuforms posts while figuring out how to make http to work under wine.
