- matthekc, on 08/05/2008, -32/+317Less mountain dew try coffee black with very little sugar. Anything with high fructose corn syrup near the top of the ingredients list is Satan's piss. No more nachos, cheesy puffs instead eat more fruit. Ice cream is bad yogurt or frozen yogurt may be less bad read the label. MacDonald's is bad, taco bell bad, etc... if the bread you buy has any thing but whole wheat in it's first ingredient spot its bad if it says enriched it is Satan's excrement. Beer is bad wine is good. Driving 3 blocks is retarded try walking. If you still gain weight seek a professional.

Bafroom. Bafroom! BAFROOM! - max420, on 08/06/2008, -2/+37Or just eating less in general. Normal Portion sizes these days are three sizes too big.
If you go to Subway, instead of getting a footlong, get a six inch, or get the small fries if you do go to mcdonalds, instead of getting everything super sized. etc.
I've lost a LOT of weight by just eating small portions, and its not like I am going hungry, in fact I feel way less bloated after I eat. - codeblue315, on 08/06/2008, -0/+34Hell yeah, sprinkle some french fries on those cupcakes!
- Fracture98, on 08/06/2008, -0/+32Yes.

- t3hbagel, on 08/06/2008, -0/+24I hear Ubuntu is adding sensor bar support in Ibex.
- Quick2822, on 08/06/2008, -0/+23Sadly, that chart looks like a pretty accurate representation of my wardrobe over the last 10 years. Oh well. Back to work fatty. :(
- TVarmy, on 08/06/2008, -0/+23Fruit has more calories than vegetables, but the body needs some carbs. After all, the brain runs on glucose. Also, compared to processed crap, fruit's a step in the right direction. A banana has 200 calories, which sounds like a lot. But it's very filling, and consider that a pair of Cakesters (the amount that come in a package) have 230 calories but are much smaller.
Like most other things, ration it properly and you'll be okay. Also, fruit is loaded with tons of great nutrients, like antioxidants and vitamins. If you replaced some processed junk in your diet with more fruit, it gives you a good treat with less calories. The little treats are what keep you from making big indulgences, or at least that's what's worked for me when I lose weight. - theDJ2832, on 08/06/2008, -2/+24we need t-shirts with neck holes large enough to fit over our massive brains
- IanPR, on 08/07/2008, -0/+19Coca-Cola Company.
- thePTS, on 08/06/2008, -0/+19It might just be that most linux users/devs were born in the 1970-1980s and now are appx 30-40, which is when a lot of people gain some weight.. (before they start jogging in their 40s)
- alexforcefive, on 08/06/2008, -0/+18You just reminded me that I bought ice cream yesterday. Thanks!
- Scrappy1850, on 08/06/2008, -4/+22dont know why you are being dugg down... titties! weeeee!
- byrnascus, on 08/06/2008, -1/+18Yea sometimes when I get frustrated at work I post irrelevant comments on digg to cheer me up. Never expected this article to make it to popular though...
( ^ )( ^ ) - NathanCH, on 08/06/2008, -0/+16I think this is just a graph of the united states population
- fuxxx, on 08/06/2008, -8/+24Fruit is entirely overrated.
High calories, only need two serves or so a day to keep you going.
People should focus on eating more vegetables. - peaceninja, on 08/06/2008, -1/+17the linux userbase really is getting larger
- ethana2, on 08/06/2008, -0/+14Especially because I keep it so cold down here that f I don't take in enough calories, I freeze.
No one says the /have/ to be empty calories, but soft drinks and mixed nuts, well..
Ok you got me, my grandma doesn't want me having food down here. - supersonicdarky, on 08/06/2008, -2/+16How many times do you need to be told Ubuntu is not linux. You need generic instructions for all distros:
wget http://nintendo.com/wii/linux/src/wii-fit.tar.bz2
tar jxvf wii-fit.tar.bz2
cd wii-fit_1.0
./configure --super-slim
make
su
make install - ModernGeek, on 08/06/2008, -0/+13exactly
- erix84, on 08/06/2008, -0/+13Fruit also is a good source of Fiber, which also helps keep you feel full for longer.
Can't stand the low carb crowd that is anti-fruit.
Just stay away from crap with ADDED sugar, natural sugar is fine. - sloppychris, on 08/06/2008, -0/+12You can get away with eating more if you spread it out. At my old job I would buy a foot long at lunch, eat half then and the second half around 3. Really gets your metabolism going.
- Narcism, on 08/06/2008, -3/+15Did you want to think that statement through once more, champ?
- TripcodeMel, on 08/06/2008, -0/+12Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.
- jschrab, on 08/06/2008, -0/+11Bah on the beer slam! It depends on your beer.
Stouts like Guinness have the same calories ounce for ounce as skim milk.

Beer, like red wine, is rich in antioxidants.

All things in moderation of course; no more than 3 beers a day. - inactive, on 08/06/2008, -1/+12Weight loss is dependent on Amarok which is dependent on OpenOffice QuickStart...
- Codename, on 08/06/2008, -7/+18The reason is, more people are using Linux.
- sandiegodude, on 08/06/2008, -0/+11Adding 100 pounds of flab does not make you any stronger! you're still pasty and frail, you just have a lot more of you to get pounded on by the jocks... What's worse, you can't run fast and squeeze between the fenceposts to get away anymore!
- hugolp, on 08/06/2008, -5/+15I think the reason for this change is: more USAmerican are using Linux.
- inactive, on 08/06/2008, -2/+12that shows linux is becoming more popular in america
- fuxxx, on 08/06/2008, -0/+10Yeah there were a few 'smalls'. Must've been for catering.
