- schestowitz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Thanks. Useful info.
- db113456, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1OK, the article is in Hungarian, but here is the short and stubby:
There will be another vote on Friday (tomorrow)
There are "15-20 vagy még ennél is több MS függő / támogató cég lépett be" 15-20 new Microsoft dependent new members joining the the voting committee.
There is a rule that requires 2/3 (two third) majority for a yes vote, but that needs to be invoked somehow, if the invoking of this rule does not work, than there is no hope and Hungary will vote yes to ooxml. - db113456, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1http://hup.hu/node/44103
Hungary will not cast a vote on the ISO ooxml vote. Something similar to the Swedish position, with the difference that no voting took place.
I guess they saw the stuffing and refused to get stuffed in the first place. - schestowitz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2Sounds like the same old stories. Microsoft must be making phonecalls again (Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer make them to). They get /around/ the TC and influence politicians.
Microsoft is killing the system through political corruption and manipulation. - qwuinc, on 10/10/2007, -0/+0"Since then, new members have been inaugurated to the committee of the HSI, where the only requirement of membership is a fee of 100-200 euros. Many of the new members seem to have tight relationships with Microsoft."
So, there's going to be a new vote, but it's going to be like Sweden all again...
