  • sanguinemoon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0I was thinking the same thing that darkchild was at first. But it makes sense now. A lot of those are general Linux, but others are specific to Ubuntu. I'll go ahead and digg it up. If people read this and follow thinks a couple things will happen 1)Ubuntu n00bs can learn about Linus 2) As a by-product, they'll also learn there isn't much special about Ubuntu as far who do do things. Bigg secret..the actual use of Ubuntu is 99% the same as say....Debian (how suprisings! O_O..the main differences being the installer and the fact that for some stupid reason the "root" password in Ubuntu is the same as the user)
  • jd65pl, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Just trying to differentiate between a compilation of how to's strictly for Ubuntu and those which could also be used for any distribution. Note that there may be a how to that works for Ubuntu put the steps taken on another distribution are different for the same task.

    Likewise if I had said how to's for Ubuntu then someone may have said that the how to's also apply to other distributions aswel and therefore the title is incorrect.
