- r121, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I'm glad a article like this has showed up and let's people know that you can install more than one desktop environment on the same install. I've heard of a lot of people who dual boot Ubuntu/Uubuntu because they like both Gnome and KDE, and people undecided between the different *Ubuntu's because they don't know which desktop environment to use.
I must say that it's even easier to do this in Ubuntu than other distros because of the ubuntu-desktop etc. packages. You've only got to install the one package to get the entire desktop environment. - the3kgt2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I did the apt-get install kubuntu-desktop a few days ago. This guide should show a way to remove gnome after installing kde if possible.
