- daddymcguire, on 08/29/2008, -0/+2Trying to "convert"? This sounds a lot like knocking on doors and handing out religious tracts to me.
I'm a Linux user myself, have been for many years. But to each their own; if a person is happy using Windows then so be it. You don't have to make it a crusade to "convert" the "pagans" and reclaim the "holy land". - yadame, on 08/29/2008, -0/+1Most people don't even know what an operating system is, they just give you a blank look when you ask what operating system they use.
For family members who just surf the net, and don't play games, but still want support from me I will setup Linux as the main operating system and give a quick lesson on using Firefox, email etc. Makes my life easier (no support for virus etc), and normally don't notice any difference. I find Linux to be a good Parent/aunt/uncle operating system. - inactive, on 08/29/2008, -1/+1Tell them it's OS X?
Charge for Linux?
