  • DarkShroud, on 09/01/2008, -0/+1I went to a private school for Junior High & High School, this was some time ago. The entire school network used Samba servers, the network hubs for the teachers ran Windows CE. The teachers just needed access to their Excel Sheets to enter grades & Word to print worksheets. Now the student computers, my school used Windows NT for the workstations and NT Server (before Samba) and then went to Win2000 when it was released, they also duel booted Red Hat. We learned on both platforms. When we were done with out computer class work the professor would let us boot Linux and play lan games. When we need to actually work we booted into Windows for MS Office XP, this was the best version at the time.
