- neko, on 07/02/2008, -0/+2Evidently, this person is not a PC expert, but a MS/Windows expert. The biggest challenge is getting out of the mindset that you have to go online and look for a "setup.exe" to download.
The other problem is treating "Linux" as through it is a single entity, some kind of corporation which is clearly crazy for using multiple package formats. No. You might as well blame Books for not standardising on font and point size.
Ubuntu. Fedora. These are your OSes. Ubuntu has a standard package format, and a standard place to go when you're looking for a new application.
