Google Chrome . . . for Linux?!

linuxjournal.com — As some of you know, Google released a new browser recently, something called Chrome. The idea is/was to fix everything that is wrong with browsers and make the Web browsers a tool to run applications. As opposed to just viewing Web pages. I'm being a bit silly here, but Chrome is built to be more like an operating system than a plain old browser.

  • kd420, on 09/20/2008, -2/+5If you really can't wait to try it, its really easy to install. However, its also kind of buggy, so personally I'm waiting for the actual release.

    This story is several days old, and it's been submitted numerous times already. The title is misleading. This isn't a true Linux port; the whole thing runs on top of the Wine libraries.

    If it's a matter of GNU/Linux devs getting it ready, then caps-off, I'm patient, I'll wait.
