But I have to say, having used Windows, Linux, and Mac OS as a developer for 13 years, lilo & grub issues have probably absorbed more of my debugging time than any other single OS feature under all three. - FlareHeart, on 04/22/2009, -0/+1An easy way to customize grub (if you are on a KDE based distro) is to use kgrubeditor. It is a really easy to use customization tool for your grub menu. You don't have to fiddle with menu.lst that way.
